NOTICE OF MEETING

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Aldermen of The Town of Anderson, Grimes County, Texas, will meet in regular session on August 10, 2006, at 7:00 P.M in the American Legion Building in Anderson, Texas.

AGENDA

1. Establish a quorum; call meeting to order.

2. Recognize guests present.

3. Read/consider approval of the minutes of the regular meeting held on Thursday, July 13, 2006.

4. Consider/approve entering into a contract with Grimes County Appraisal District for tax appraisal and collection services for 2006-2007.

5. Review appraisal roll for the Town of Anderson for tax year 2006 as prepared by Bill Sullivan, Chief Appraiser.

6. Discuss the 2006-2007 FY tax issues including the rate per $100 of taxable property, the time frame for publication of required notices, date for publishing notice of date, time, etc. for budget hearing and adoption, and a brief review of current financial information.

7. Review/approve/select bid on construction work on office to suit insurance needs.

8. Discuss protection of clean out plugs and marking of manholes throughout town.

9. Discuss/consider/approve authorizing research of town’s original charter and streets.

10. Consider/approve moving meeting for September from the 14^th to the 28^th for budget planning purposes.

11. Review/approve payment of all invoices and accounts currently due and payable.

12. Discuss/inform council on miscellaneous items.
