THE STATE OF TEXAS – TOWN OF ANDERSON – BE IT REMEMBERED, that on this the 25th day of January 2022, at 7:00 p.m., there was begun and holden a Workshop Meeting of the Town of Anderson, Grimes County, Texas.
1. Call to order: 7:04 p.m.
a. Roll call: Daryl Alford, Harold Minor, Karen McDuffie, Kason Menges, and Pam Johnson were present. Carnell Carroll and Bessie White were absent. Visitor present was Will Borski.
b. Quorum established.
c. Invocation was given by Kason Menges

e. Pledge to the Texas Flag
2. Consider, review, and discuss Ordinance #148-22 to establish rental regulations and use rules for the Anderson Community Center.

Changes discussed:
• Correct typos throughout
• Change language to mirror door codes
• Section 2 – add “who is 21 years of age, or older”
• Section 3 – change “secretary” to “clerk”
• Section 4 – 2 hours or less $35
1/2 day (4 hours) $75 deposit + $75 rental fee
Full day (8 hours) $125 deposit + $150 rental fee
Decorating / Set-up $35 (if hall is not rented the day before event)
• Remove “security” in “security deposit”
• Remove “cleaning fees”
• Delete Section 6b
• Section 7 – add “Certified” to Security Personnel, delete “satisfactory to the Town of Anderson”
• Exhibit A – Add rental type requested, “mailing” address, add
(a) security deposit is required to reserve the date. This will be refunded after building and grounds have been inspected and deemed to be in satisfactory condition by the Town of Anderson.

b. Rental fee for hall use, to be paid in full before the date of rental. Cash, check or money orders are accepted.

4. Consider and discuss unfinished projects around Town.
• Sign for building
• Lights for outside of building
• Street repairs
• Getting surveys for speed bumps
• Need list of street repairs needed
• Canes hanging over the road on College behind Methodist Church
• Council taking turns checking building after rentals
• Website updates
