Members Present: Gail Sowell Mayor, Aldermen Carol DeBose, Harold Minor, Daryl Alford, Carnell Carrell
Members Absent: Karen McDuffie
Anderson Attorney Present: Michael R. Casaretto
Visitors Present: Cindy Bell, Dorothy Grupa, Kason Menges, Will Borski, Joe Boudreaux, Jenna Blinn, Blondie Carrell, Geoff Horn
Establish a quorum; Called to order at 7:00 pm.
Pledges recited.
Carol DeBose gave invocation.

Remarks of visitors:
Cindy Bell gave details of upcoming Navasota Grimes County Chamber of Commerce events.

Agenda Items:
Mayor Sowell asked council to review the minutes of the regular meeting held on Thursday, October 11, 2018. Daryl Alford made a motion to approve minutes with corrections regarding inspector “worked as an electrician and was hired for TCleose certification” and “if” rather than “of” Child at Play signs. Carol DeBose seconded the motion. All approved; the motion carried.

Daryl Alford made a motion to approve the 2018 Appraisal Roll through Ordinance #129-18. Carol DeBose seconded the motion. All approved; the motion carried.

Mayor Sowell discussed various items and concerns regarding Anderson Holiday Fest. The Town’s responsibility in the event is limited and will have certificate of insurance, sales tax numbers for vendors. Michael Casaretto will send a letter to Charlie Diggs regarding the town’s conditions. Carnell Carroll made a motion to move forward with Charlie Diggs Anderson Holiday Fest. Daryl Alford seconded the motion. All approved; the motion carried.

Mayor Sowell gave a report on Trunk or Treat. The town cooked over 800 hotdogs and other companies also served food. The event was successful for the 10th year.

Mayor Sowell asked council to review the invoices to be paid. Carnell Carrell made a motion to approve. Harold Minor seconded the motion. All approved; the motion carried.

Mayor Sowell informed council again that any item needed for the agenda will have to be turned into the office 10 days before the meeting. Michael Casaretto will prepare wording regarding the variance process to add to the ordinances. Cindy Olivieri contacted TML and they stated a variance wording needs to be added to the ordinances to describe how to do and explain why it was done. Mayor Sowell reported that extra mustard and ketchup left over will be taken to the Sunshine Center or Food Pantry. Carol DeBose reminded everyone that next month is our Christmas Party after our meeting.
