Members Present: Gail Sowell Mayor Karen McDuffie, Mayor Pro-Tem; Aldermen Harold Minor, Daryl Alford, Carnell Carrell
Alderman Absent: Carol DeBose
Anderson Attorney Present: Michael R. Casaretto
Visitors Present: Cindy Bell, Charles Borski, Will Borski, Shannon Sanders, Anthony Olivieri Erna Freeman, Joe Boudreaux, Kason Menges, Lori Clayton, Kyle Childress, Jenna Blinn, Freddie Henson, Quintera Calhoun, Susan Boudreaux
Establish a quorum; Called to order at 6:30 pm
Mayor Sowell asked Shannon Sanders to discuss the tax information. Mr. Sanders explained the appraisal portion and taxation. Appraisals went up about 6.15% adding value to your home value. The town proposed the rate to remained the same as last year 0.0021900. No one in the audience had any questions.

Moved into Budget hearing at 6:40

Mayor Sowell asked Cindy Olivieri to review the amended and proposed budgets. In the amended budget, it was pointed out that sales tax has dropped far more than what we predicted. Cindy Bell asked if we knew where the bulk of the sales tax comes from. Cindy Olivieri pointed out that we do not get report stating where the point of sales was. Kason Menges asked about the water expenses in proposed General Budget as it seemed a little high. Cindy Olivieri explained it was an estimate based on usage from the rentals. Karen McDuffie asked about the audit expense. It was explained that we have our books audited yearly by an independent auditor and the expense is divided between the General Account and Sewer accounts.
