The Town of Anderson is seeking a Town Clerk
The Town of Anderson seeks a dedicated Town Clerk to serve as a vital link between the community and local government. This currently part-time 3-day a week position is responsible for maintaining official town records, preparing and distributing agendas and minutes for town council meetings, and ensuring compliance with state and local regulations, including the Texas Open Meetings Act and Public Information Act. The Town Clerk will also manage elections, issue permits, and provide exceptional customer service to residents, responding to inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.
Candidates must have a high school diploma (some higher education preferred), strong organizational skills, financial record-keeping and reporting (specifically Quick Books) and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience in municipal government is a plus. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adept at multitasking, and committed to transparency and public service.
