BE IT REMEMBERED, that on this the 8th day of August 2024, at 7:00 p.m., there was begun and holden a Budget Meeting of the Town of Anderson, Grimes County, Texas.
- Call meeting to order and establish quorum. Call to order @ 7pm. Marc, Kason, Tanner, Harold and Bessie present. Will Borski and Rebecca Ray not present

- Mayor’s Update
- American Pickers, chance they are coming to Texas. We can provide information for anyone if want. Can not be currently selling to the public
- Holland 200th Presentation, anniversary of the land grant from Stephen Austin
- Beryl Storm Cleanup Results, took away 6 truckloads of brush
- Northside Mustang Car Club Aug 24th. They usually have a lot of cars, will come up Main Street and take pictures. Sheriff’s dept will be present
- Hwy 90 project is completed. They are looking for any feedback on anything that appears to still need to be done.

Motion made by Tanner Krause to approve all items on the consent agenda, seconded by Harold Minor, all in favor.

- Permit report: one for the ice/snow cone truck
- Sewer Report: transfer switch needs to be replaced. It is not turning the generator off. The generator fuel tank needs to be refilled. Mayor met with Brian, and they are working up a new contract to review.

Discuss, consider, and possibly take action regarding:
- Review and discuss Chief Appraiser’s submission of the 2024 Appraisal Roll, No-New Revenue Tax Rate, Voter-Approval Tax Rate, and other Tax Rate Adoption Materials. Can not be talked about due to advertisement needing to be in the paper 7 days prior to the meeting. Motion made by Kason Menges, 2nd by Bessie White. All in favor.
- Consider and take action to propose the 2024 Tax Rate Tabled. Can not be talked about due to advertisement needing to be in the paper 7 days prior to the meeting. Motion made by Kason Menges, 2nd by Bessie White. All in favor.
- Consider and take action to approve adopting the Federal Grant Program Procurement Policy for the American Rescue Plan (ARPA) Code of Conduct. The attorney did not see issues with the code of conduct. Motion made by Harold Minor to adopt the code of conduct, 2nd by Tanner Krause. All in favor
- Consider and take action to approve a new interlocal agreement with the Texas Municipal League Risk Pool for “Cyber coverage”. They have created a new policy at TML Risk Pool for cyber security. It must be submitted in September. Costs are included in TML dues. Motion made by Tanner Krause to approve the agreement, 2nd by Kason Menges. All in favor
- Around Town: couple of complaints about the tree on hill street blocking the stop sign and cars parking there blocking the sign. Trees hanging over Austin. Street signs down around town, Johnson and main, dead-end sign is upside down. Stop sign at main and Woodward, potentially add a trash service as a utility. Would rather address all stop signs in town at one time. Budget workshop is Aug 20th
- Discussion of agenda items for the next scheduled meeting: There will be RCP resolutions and tax rates.
