2026 09 28 Public Hearing Budget and Special Meeting

Notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting for the Town of Anderson, Grimes County, Texas, will be held on 28th of September 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in the Town Hall, 415 Hill St, Anderson, TX, at which time the following subject will be discussed and acted upon, to-wit:  

• Public Hearing

Public input is welcome regarding the adoption of the proposed budget.

• Call meeting to order and establish quorum

• Business

1. 1. 1. Discuss and possible action to approve the proposed FY26 Town Budget.

• Adjourn Hearing

This meeting shall be conducted pursuant to the Texas Government Code Section 551.001 et seq. At any time during the meeting the Council reserves the right to adjourn into executive session on any of the above posted agenda items in accordance with the sections 551.071, and Section 1.05, Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct (Consultation with Attorney), §551.072 (Deliberations about Real Property), §551.073 (Deliberations about Gifts and Donations), §551.074 (Personnel Matters), and/or §551.087 (Economic Development). All items listed above are eligible for Council discussion and/or action.

Notice is hereby given that a Special Session of the governing body of the Town of Anderson will be held on the 28th of September 2026, at Town Hall located at 415 Hill St, Anderson, TX 77830, at which time the following subjects will be considered, to wit:

Regular Meeting: 

1. Call meeting to order and establish quorum
2. Invocation
3. Pledges to the flags: “Honor the Texas Flag.  I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one state under God, one and indivisible.”
4. Public Comment
5. Business: Discuss, consider, and possibly take action regarding:
   1. Discuss and possible action to approve the proposed FY26 Town Budget.
6. Executive Session
   1. Convene into Executive Session pursuant to Sec. 551.072, Texas Government Code, to deliberate the sale, purchase, exchange, or value of certain real property located within the limits of the Town of Anderson.
   2. Convene into Executive Session pursuant to Sec. 551.072, Texas Government Code, to deliberate personnel matters.
7. Possible Action from Executive Session
   1. Reconvene into public session and take action as appropriate at the discretion of the Town Council regarding the sell, purchase, exchange, or value of certain real property located within the limits of the Town of Anderson.
   2. Reconvene into public session and take action as appropriate at the discretion of the Town Council regarding personnel matters.
