THE STATE OF TEXAS – TOWN OF ANDERSON – BE IT REMEMBERED, that on this the 4th day of March 2021, at 7:00 p.m., there was begun and holden a Workshop of the Town of Anderson, Grimes County, Texas.
1. Call to order: 7:00 p.m.
a. Roll call, Kason Menges absent. Bessie White absent at roll-call, arrived at 7:24 p.m.
b. Establish quorum
c. Invocation – Harold Minor
d. Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S. Flag
e. Pledge of Allegiance to the Texas Flag
2. Review and discuss updating existing ordinances.
• Harry Walker talked about stop sign regulations. Speed bumps vs stop signs.
• Council will need to rescind stop sign ordinance
• Add modular home to the definitions in Ordinance #113-16
• Remove age from homes
• Require inspection of modular/manufactured homes coming into the city limits within 6 months of the date of move in
• Sewer ordinance was reviewed, no changes to be made
3. Consider and discuss creating new ordinances.
• New ordinances discussed were noise ordinance & 51% businesses
4. Review and discuss updating existing permits.
• Commercial – title Commercial Construction Permit
• Residential – title Residential Construction Permit
• Modular/Manufactured Home – title Modular/Manufactured Home Permit
5. Consider and discuss creating new permits.
• Discussed the possibility of an event permit
