BOARD OF ALDERMEN
THE TOWN OF ANDERSON, TEXAS
November 11, 2004

The Board of Aldermen of the Town of Anderson met in regular open session in the American Legion Building in Anderson, Texas, at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 11, 2004. Mayor Gail Sowell, Alderman Bill Robinett, Alderwoman Erna Freeman, Alderman David Heyman and Attorney Lovett Boggess were present. Aldermen F. D. Calhoun and Tom Johanson were absent.
The meeting was called to order at 7:04 p.m.
Guests in attendance included Janet Nevill, Cindy Bell, Mary Cunningham, Maurine Wehmeyer, Billy Surface, and John Freeman.
Mr. Surface, owner of Surface Dirt Works of Singleton, met with the members of the council to discuss and answer questions regarding work needed to be done on Fanthorp St. to solve serious problems at that location. A meeting between Surface, John Freeman, and Rickey Wehmeyer helped to define the work to be done. After some discussion Alderwoman Erna Freeman made a motion giving Mr. Surface approval to begin the work. Alderman David Heyman seconded the motion and all members present voted in favor of the motion.
Mayor Sowell asked that minutes from the regular meeting held on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004 be considered/approved. Alderman Bill Robinett made a motion to approve the minutes as presented; Alderwoman Erna Freeman seconded the motion. All members present voted in favor of the motion.
Mayor Sowell presented TxDOT’s request for approval of an agreement on regulation of advertising signs within Anderson’s extraterritorial jurisdictions. Alderman David Heyman made a motion to enter into an agreement with TxDOT; Alderwoman Erna Freeman seconded the motion. All members present were in agreement. A copy of the approval will be filed with TxDOT.
Alderman Bill Robinett moved that all invoices current due and payable be paid. Alderwoman Erna Freeman seconded the motion; members voted in favor of motion.
Mayor Sowell gave members an update on the town’s activities and projects.
Meeting was adjourned at 7:38 p.m.
