- Brian Colbert to report on recent repairs
- Two pumps failed at the old HS track lift station on/around Oct 1st requiring full replacement. Tanner authorized the immediate repair to one pump in the amount of $5,577
- VFD needs replacement – computer that tells the pump what to do
- Brian recommends a cooling fan exhaust install after the 2nd pump replacement to keep the system cooled and running optimally and potentially avoid this failure in the future.
- Elec panel at the wastewater treatment is still recommended.

- New dumpster was overflowing after the weekend, a special pick-up was arranged at a cost of $38 to the Town. Tanner requests language be added to the rental agreement to address appropriate use of dumpster and prohibited items.
- Will advises a car was parked in front of the dumpster Friday at pickup that could have caused some of the excess trash.
- Discussion to increase rate
- Motion to increase the daily rental rate to $300 and $175 for deposit effective once Rental Agreement is approved by council by Will, second by Kason, all in favor.
- Consider and take possible action to approve a purchase of new pumps for the 1140 FM 149W lift station.
- Discussion of the old HS track lift station pump failure, Tanner authorized Brian to install one of the two pumps needed in order to get the lift station running. A second pump is needed.
- Quote for second pump provided – $5,646 gets rid of capacitors and makes the necessary upgrades
- The failed pumps were 20+ year old pumps.
- Harold asks about the warranty of new pumps, the quote provided information. Six months on factory defect.
- To protect the warranty on the VFD the company provides an extra fan as long as we get the other VFD.
- Motion to approve the purchase of a second pump at 1140 FM 149W lift station (old HS track) for a total price of $5,646 by Harold, second by Will, all in favor.
- Discuss Anderson-Shiro Lift Station upgrades.
- Town contacted by an engineer working on the project, currently this station has a 2” with capacity for two pumps but with a 2” line there isn’t adequate capacity.
- Upgrades are needed to the lift station, sizing issues.
- This station serves out of town users and the Town took over operation after it was built.
- The cost of 1900 feet of new line could be $35-60/sqft of new line. Tanner does not recommend the Town to pay for this, school bonds should be looked at for funding.
- The demand is coming from the school, not the town. Tanner will get additional information as it comes from Rodney Floyd of the building committee.

- Purchase candy for council members to distribute at the event

- At this time council agrees there is not enough interest or capacity to take on this event, and it will not be held.

- AVFD annual Christmas Parade will be Nov 30, 2025 (possible road closure 5-9pm). This should be the same day as the Christmas Tree lighting at the courthouse. Possibility of council to assist with additional funds from town fund, as available

- Harold requests trees around town be cut back, Will spoke with Jon from the County but he wants to work with the Mayor once appointed.
