BE IT REMEMBERED, that on this the 8th of January 2026, at 7:00 PM, there was begun and holden a Regular Meeting of the Town of Anderson, Grimes County, Texas.
- Call meeting to order and establish quorum at 7:01pm Members present: Mayor Kason Menges, Tanner Krause, Will Borski, Harold Minor, Bessie White, Town Attorney Ashley Ver Schuur and Town Clerk Cara McAlister. Visitors present: Carnell Carroll and Brett Mize.

- Abatement is nearing completion at 101 S Main. Should be finished Jan 9. Floor on left side of building did not survive.
- Upcoming election and key dates – March 3, 2026 is the primary, May 2, 2026 is the city/school election, deadline for filing is Feb 13.

- The sewer line was overwhelmed after the NYE event on Main St at Toasted Tomato. Salvador C was asked to come and repair the line. Backed up into Will Borski’s home.

- Kason suggests a recurring workshop date and then move to quarterly.

- Will brings up concerns with frequent road closures and limiting the number of events annually.
- Tanner suggests first meetings be held at Community Center and later businesses could host
- Discussion of 6pm vs 7pm and option; Thursday a week before regular meetings in order to make OMA agenda timing.
- Motion by Tanner to begin Workshop meetings with business owners Feb 5 and Mar 5 at 6pm. Second by Harold, all in favor. Motion Passes.
- Discuss and possible action to approve a 101 S Main Workshop date

- 2026 TML Region 14 Spring Meeting – 04/16/2026 in case anyone needed to attend. Will review needs for Brett.
- Red Line Pest Services, LLC has shut down the Lawn Maintenance Division of the company and will no longer be offering these services to the Town of Anderson. Suggestion to seek bids with website, Facebook and possible newspaper post.
- Before we put out bids we should get with the County about trimming back trees, road repairs, etc to be sure the lawn maintenance crew would understand the requirements.
- Kason will reach out to John Steiber about some cleanup. Pothole patching around town might be around $1500

- New Years Eve event went well, with several hundreds in attendance. Future events of this size will require the use of porta-potty services to be provided by event coordinators.
