2026 07 09 Meeting Minutes

Notice is hereby given that a Regular Meeting of the governing body of the Town of Anderson will be held on the 9th of July 2026, at 7:00 PM at the Town Hall located at 415 Hill St, Anderson, TX 77830, at which time the following subjects will be considered, to wit:

Regular Meeting:

1. Call meeting to order and establish quorum at 7:07pm members present were Will Borski, Harold Minor, Tanner Krause, Kason Menges, Bessie White and Town Attorney Ashley Ver Schuur, Brett Mize and Town Clerk Bailey Sharp not present. Visitors present: Carvell Carell, Michael imich, and William Smith.
2. Invocation given by Will Borski
3. Pledges to the flags: “Honor the Texas Flag.  I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one state under God, one and indivisible.”
4. Public Comment – none
5. Mayor’s Update
6. Consent Agenda: All consent items are considered to be routine and will be enacted by one motion and vote.

4. Motion to approve Tanner Krause to approve the consent agenda items in full. Second by Will Borski. All in favor, motion passed

8. Business: Discuss, consider, and possibly take action regarding:

1. Discuss, consider and take possible action on the scheduling of a Special Meeting for Thursday July 23 at 7pm. Motion to approve by Tanner Krause. Second by Harold Minor. All in favor, motion passes. 
2. Discuss, consider and take possible action July 23rd special meeting: Public Hearing and possible adoption of the Comprehensive Plan and Future Land Use Map. Motion approved by Tanner Krause. Second by Harold Minor. All in favor, motion passes.
3. Discuss, consider and take possible action scheduling Public Hearing and possible adoption of the Zoning Ordinance August 13th meeting. Motion to approve by Tanner Krause. Second by Will Borski. All in favor motion passes.
4. Discuss, consider and take possible action on RFQ for street mowing. Motion to approve by Tanner Krause. Second by Bessie White. All in Favor, motion passes.
   

9. Executive Session at 7:26pm

1. Convene into Executive Session pursuant to Sec. 551.072, Texas Government Code, to deliberate the sell, purchase, exchange, or value of certain real property located within the limits of the Town of Anderson.
2. Convene into Executive Session pursuant to Sec. 551.072, Texas Government Code, to deliberate personnel matters.

11. Reconvene into public session and take action as appropriate at the discretion of the Town Council regarding the sell, purchase, exchange, or value of certain real property located within the limits of the Town of Anderson.
12. Reconvene into public session and take action as appropriate at the discretion of the Town Council regarding personnel matters.

14. Discussion of agenda items for the next scheduled meeting

This meeting shall be conducted pursuant to the Texas Government Code Section 551.001 et seq. At any time during the meeting the Council reserves the right to adjourn into executive session on any of the above posted agenda items in accordance with the sections 551.071, and Section 1.05, Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct (Consultation with Attorney), §551.072 (Deliberations about Real Property), §551.073 (Deliberations about Gifts and Donations), §551.074 (Personnel Matters), and/or §551.087 (Economic Development). All items listed above are eligible for Council discussion and/or action.
